:: Shisem Nail Polish..could be another favorite??::

I find myself was really into nail polishes lately . Every month I will get new nail polishes and since i discovered Nailfiesta , I am glad that this website is here and buying OPI, China Glaze, Essie, Zoya, Misa, Seche Vite etc is not troublesome anymore and they offer very affordable price,half the price of the local market. Here OPI can costing to RM60 per bottle but nailfiesta only selling aroung RM30-ish which is very affordable. Alright, to cut the long story short..here's a new nail polish brand I found in local mall today, Parkson. It's not a very famous or high-end brand, I knew about this nail polish from LYN before but never bother to get it because the color that i wanted has always OOS.


To see this nail polish at the local shop made me kind of ga-ga and i was contemplating whether to get it or not. Few of the shades that I want are all there and they were offering a very good price which is per bottle RM7.80, buy 3 bottles for RM20 (LYN is selling RM12 per bottle)


What nail polish I'm talking about?? ...Shisem!! ( Have you heard of this nail polish? anyone?)

Nude/Mannequin-hand shade nail polishes and summer colour nail polishes have become one of my addiction lately~ I can't believe that I have been collecting a numbers of nail polishes this year and the collection is growing...which is scary for me~ Fiancee just shook his head..hehe

Yesterday, my order of OPI and China Glaze have arrived after 2 months of long waiting from MBS~ I am so happy that finally my OPIs are here and since OPI is no longer available via online sales thus ,at the time, it was my only chance to get my hand on few colours (plus it is way cheaper to purchase OPI via online).

So, for this post i made an exclusive swatches for you..

These shades are more to nude and mannequin hand shade. It's hard to define the color precisely as some of it look beige, pale brown, pale pink, peachy pink, grey-ish etc..so, i don't dare to justify or define the color firmly but can be seen from the swatches:

Have a Tempura Tan-Trum - beige. It looks kinda pale on my nail and not really suits my skin color.

Miso Happy With This Color - beige-pinky. I loves this shade because it's really nice color. I would let you know why i heart this shade by the end of this post;)

Tickle My France-y - Greyish with slight brown-pink hue.I kind of hate this color initially because i saw some of the swatches, it looks really ugly. But then, once i applied it..i started to like it and it turns out not that bad.

Dulce de Leche - light brown with mauve. This shade kind of similar with Revlon 'Touch of Mauve' but this one appear slightly darker than it.

Polar Bare - Peach! yup, that's it!

This 5 shades are more to sheer finish and suitable as base for french manicure. 

Canberra't Without You - light beige with small silver glitter specs

Coney Island Cotton Candy - milky beige color, really sheer

Malaysian Mist - sheer soft peach ..* i bought this simply because it named after 'Malaysian'..hehe and turn out, the color is pretty good in peach! I loves this shade;) 

Fair Drinkum Pinkum - the name of this polish remind me fairy-thingy and it's so sweet. it's a light pink with a small glitter specs, like Canberra't Without You and remind me of fairy, ballerina and tutu skirt;)

It's a Girl - sweet baby pink and it's sheer, true to its name..this color would be great for french manicure base and it makes nail looks healthy. Among my favorite shades as well~

Overall, I am happy with all my OPI orders although all of it categorized in a same color chart (but who could blame nude/mannequi/sheer polishes that never go outdated)! Oh well, since some of the shades are difficult to find here in Malaysia, so I am not really regretting my purchase. Plus, OPI retail price here in Malaysia is too expensive..RM50-60++, OMG! But i got mine through online purchase for only RM 27! Half of the price..talk about a good bargain here!;)

CHINA GLAZE

 For China Glaze, I wanted to play with colorful shades and yes, i am liking purple/lilac color! Owh dear, what a wonderful world of colors!!;D

Agent Lavender - yes, pretty lavender color! it's kind of similar to Light as Air but a bit darker.

Light As Air - bluish lilac color;) it's hard to distinguish it from Agent Lavender, but this one lighter..let me show the pic..

Something Sweet - bubblegum soft pink..in the bottle it looks like a soft purple-pink shade, however it turns out so pink..i don't know if i can style this shade though, bubblegum pink not really loves me tho~ emm

For Audrey - i don't know how to define this shade, it's in between pastel green, turquoise, minty green..ya, it's somewhere there. This shade is so refreshing and the color is really pretty!

Flip Flop Fantasy -  this is neon pink and it's cool! and it's matte finish on nails. Haha.. well, gonna wear this shade when the time is right~~;DD

Last but not least,

My verdict::

Yes!! I'm loving the texture and the quality. True to its color and the application on nail is smooth. I love their nail polishes. However, the down side of its is it does not offer wide range of  color thus making choices limited.

Pretty is pearly pink sheer on the first coat, however, for the next two coats it comes out pretty decent.

Delicious is my favorite among all. Somehow , it like how its appear and looks on my hand and make my finger slightly longer nad slender. I like the peachy coral color;)

Captivating is a beautiful deep dark red. As can be seen from the pictures, it's another vampy shade and i like how it looks like in my toenails.

Now, the polish remover. This is my HG polish remover  for now. It done an amazing job and only need a swipe to take the color off. Amazingly! No hassle - which i like. The scent is nice and not to empowering like typical nail polish remover. The MUA was strongly advising me to get this and she said it is way better than the drugstore brand. Since it was RM10, i decided to get it, plus i was running out of polish remover atm.

Retail price is RM39 for nail polish and RM18 for the polish remover. But I got mine for RM10 each because i bought the item 'with purchase'.;) Great deal!!

I would definitely get more of the polishes and restock the remover before the sales end;)

:: NYX and REVLON mini haul::

NYX have a few new products and new shades in some of their product. I was delighted when i found out there is a new shade for their powder blush which is good for another additional shade to the family and lip pencil.

From left to right:
I've bought 3 lip pencils in 3 new shades which are Peekaboo Neutral, Nude Pink and Pale Pink.

And their new powder blush shade in 'Pinched'. NYX blushes are great deal and offer a very good option of shades and it's worth  to get  if need to compare to high-end brand. and i already own a few blushes from NYX and my faves are Natural (my HG~!!) and Angel;)

Honestly, the color is very pretty ..it's almost comparable to Nars Deep Throat or MAC Dainty mineralize blush.

It's corally-pink with a bit of shimmer.

 There are 7 new shades of lip liner and it's amazing how NYX is aware of the current color trend, most of the shades are in pink, neutral and nude tone. I grabbed this three shades since it would be suitable for neutral and pink l/s.

Look's like Revlon is also starting to release their own brand of collection and and it shows that they are trying to competing with other high-end brands. i must say, their products are getting better and i gradually loving it. So, i was delighted when i saw this collection is available at the local drugstore, Guardian. I knew immediately i must get my hand on this collection;)

Unfortunately, not all the shades of the l/g and nail polish is available so I was kind of disappointed a bit but at least there is a shade that i want which is the l/g in 'Peach Petal' (fyi, only three shades available which are the other two are Firecracker and Coral Reef..i really want Lilac Pastel and Pink Pop). i kind of sad that i could not find 'Lilac Pastelle' and 'Gray Suede' nail polishes .

But fret not,  i found the Revlon Scents of Summer Nail Enamel in Gum Drop instead.Probably it would be the same colour version but the shade is lilac-purplish-with slight blue-gray hue and it's scented - smells like a bubblegum when it is dried and last for few days tho~ seriously. and i like it the fact that it smell different than normal scent of nail polishes. i am HAPPY alas!;) well, at least...

The color is beautiful especially if u r lilac-lover but the downside of it is, i have to apply three coats to achieve that shade as seen in swatches. It's streaky and too sheer for the first two application and to get the pastel consistency, i have to apply at least three coats.

Ok,here's my latest obsession..lately I am so crazy about nail polishes,like seriously! i couldn't take my eyes off from those bright and yummy colors..it's intrigued me~!!

And i want to show my 'pathetic' collections of nail polishes and let u know my favorites!;)

My Faves and a few that i used most:

CG Branding Iron - once that i love Vampish nail colour and love this on toenails)

CG Afterglow - normally i used this on top of other nail polish for the 3D look...it's glowy)

CG Innocence  - gives that healthy look on nail..perfect for base for French Manicure, well..for me)
ESSIE Eternal Optimist -  I HEART this to the core!!! It's nude pinkish-mauvey look which makes my fingers slender..and the liquid consistency is amazing..no STREAKY even on first application...seriously, i LOVE this!
Elianto Bisque - this one is my-finger-but-better..hehe it matched with my skin tone and it's a perfect nude, it's my 'Mannequin Hand/Nail shade;)
Elianto Thistle - I couldn't believe this LILAC color actually looks pretty good on my nails..since then, i heart LILAC nail polishes and intend to get more ..I already eyeing a fews from CG already;)
Elianto Grape Wine  - I used this a lot before I got CG Branding Iron since, like i said, i was into bloody red or vampish nail color before..but this one, i have to apply few coats to achieve that desired look;) so that's explained why it's already half a bottle. Oh ya, my sister loves it too!
