MAC Surf Baby collection was released a month ago and I love the packaging so much. Since it was LE, I managed to get few items from the collection.

I got myself l/s - Naturally Eccentric, Strange Potion l/g, Sun Blonde e/s and My Paradise cheek blush. The MUA was so nice and gave me sample of stacked pigments. (I don't know the color because it was not indicated)

I know this collection was so overdue and there are already gazillion swatches and reviews made on the Internet, now let's add another short one;)

As promised, this is my recent MAC haul. Just a few items, not many - blushes and the l/g which only from the Quite Cute collection, which I think is enough - promised myself not to hoard make up, i am trying u know~;)

:: ELF Studio Sunscreen Powder and ELF Mineral Blush ::

Earlier of this month , my ELF that i ordered just arrived. This time i purchased two products which are the sunscreen powder and the powder blush.

:: Inside - translucent powder which i think would likely to suit any skin colour:: * i already used the product before i took the picture and reviewed it, thus explain why the puff is dirty..;D

Sunscreen is very important, to prevent skin from further pigmentation or getting dry ( much worse, getting darker or redness or even sunburn). My skin is very sensitive and easily get red when expose to sun which i think is normal if u have super fair skin and lack of melanin pigment. Not only that, it tends to get dark when i exposed to sun for a long time in a long period of time. I've been neglecting about my face when i was a teenager thus now i get the consequences, where my neckline and my face line have different shade and few freckles and pigmentation already shown on my face. 

however, thanks to my own self awareness where i notified sooner when i was in early 20's-mid 20's,that i realised those dark spots and discoloration on my skin n i began to take care of my face by using sunscreen. Yes people, sunscreen! but finding a good sunscreen at the time was difficult because most of it is mainly for body with a very high SPF and the texture are greasy and oily.

Now, there's a lot of product which manufactured for Asian market that mostly contained SPF or UVA/UVB protection thus it is more convenient and hassle-free to look for sunscreen for face. ELF have come out with their own product of sunscreen powder which would be suitable to be used as a finishing powder or loose powder. I use this as a finishing powder. So far, i am pleased with the product because of the high SPF which suitable for Malaysian hot and humid weather, and the staying power - at least it keep my face matte for at least 5 hours before the next touch-up.

:: ELF Mineral Powder Blush ::

ELF Mineral line has come out with a new shades as another addition to their powder blush family. There are two new shades which are Pink and Peachy. As a blush- junkies, I was excited.The two colors are my favorite shades. 

However, it was a turn down for me.I am not very happy with the shades because it has shimmer to it - i don't find it is suitable for everyday use and i don't want to enhance or highlight my oily face with its shimmer. The peachy color is so dark and it's more to brown - orange colour rather than pinkish-orange color -where i think it would compliment those who have tanned skin or medium to dark skintone. Oh well~ in the end, i just put it at the end of the drawer - looking for a day where i will grab it and find it useful..*sigh*

:: Stage - Opening Act Complexion Enhancer 'Natural Beauty'::

Okay, so here's a final loot..

Opening Act Complexion Enhancer is a primer for face, which was given a good reviews by Skindeco here and there are two types which one is for highlighting and another one is a natural set.Thus, during the sale i get myself 'Natural Beauty'. i need a natural primer and not something which can enhance the oiliness of my face by highlighting unnecessary features.

so here is my 2cents:

although i try to love this primer but it still can't compare to MAC Bain Visage. Nearly 2 hours, i can feel my face become greasy and discreet oil. I try to love it  but i still can't. However, i still use this some other time especially when i feel my skin is dry as this can give a dewy finish. Thus, i think this might not look good for those who have oily face especially on T-Zone ..but recommended for those who have dry skin, it really gives that dewy finish which make skin look 'healthy'.

will i get it again?? emmmm..no~;)

worth to buy? since it was on 50% off, ya but i would not purchase it again after this simply because it is not suitable for my skin type.

price? sorry, i don't remember and i've lost the receipt. But probably around RM60+..

:: Skinfood - Acorn Jelly Mask Reviews ::

As I promised, I am back and I am excited to share about another favorite mask from Skinfood which is Acorn Jelly Mask. Yes..it is a jelly-ish texture and for me, it's different but something new for me.

This mask was recommended by the SA  and she said most of the return customers gave good feedback about this mask and it's always running out of stock. At the time, i noticed there were only 3jars left on the rack compare to other masks.

According to her, the mask is good for oily skin, can reduce blackhead and whitehead, reduce pores size, dry acne and remove dead skin cells thus making skin looks smooth and polished.

:: ACORN JELLY MASK ::

PRODUCT DESCRIPTION: "A mask that effectively tightens oil-clogged enlarged pores and exfoliates layers of dead skin cells with powdered acorns from Jiri-mountain"

Yup, the texture is so amazing and actually using the mask is easy. It only need a minute, i emphasize ONE MINUTE only then rinse it. That's it! According to the SA, she doesn't encourage to let the mask on face for too long (more than a minute), scared that it will be too strong and do harm, instead of giving benefits. So, doesn't that mean the ingredients are too strong or efficient?? oh heck..so, i was influenced to give it a try since they were only 3 jars left and the SA looks so convincing, plus she guarantee it! oh well~~

Ok,so here is my 2cents:-

I'm using this mask twice a week. Yes, it is very easy to use and plus, it only takes a minute.For me, it saves a lot of time and i no need to wait. Well, that's a good thing right?!! Worry of could not feel the mask is working? Gosh, even a minute, i actually can feel that tingling sensation and can feel the mask is working. The tingling sensation is actually a bit of painful and i could not wait wash it off but still can be endure tho~ ;)

My mistake for the first time using it was, i used a lot of the products, two scoops...and i waste a lot of products. One scoop is all it takes and it can cover my face and my neck. 

It's been a month now, and i can say that the product actually serves quite good:

reduce pores size - my pores not getting smaller but actually it looks clean and hence, make it looks less visible

reduce blackhead and whitehead - not really, i can still see blackhead especially on my nose tho 

reduce oily skin - yup!!! i can feel my skin stay matte for a long hours the next day and last until midday..ain't it awesome?!!

dry pimple - not drying but it control zits. maybe because it reduces oil on face,hence, control zit.
remove dead skin cells -  yup! i can see my face became polished,clean and refresh..it actually make my skin clearer and looks brighter.
price wise  - it's a bit expensive for me, retail price is RM63.90..however, since the product serves a good quality and benefits, i am not complaining;)


last but not least, it's a good buy and Skinfood skincare products are just amazing. 
I can't wait to share another Skinfood masks which i purchased last week, and it is AWESOME!!

:: Skinfood - Mask!::

Ok, before I'll go for a short hiatus..i would like to share my HG masks from Skinfood products. I was introduced to this brand by my friend after she asked me to try the facial mask sheet. I still remembered my first mask which is Snow Tea Mask Sheet and I must say, the first experience was amazing. So i returned to the shop as one happy customer, made few purchases of their mask and I've found that Skinfood's masks are beyond amazing and have made some as my HG mask. I'll always return to restock my favorite masks and check out new stuffs. Once, i was never bother about the shop but now, it is one of my 'pit-stop'.

Ok, so here's a few of my HG masks so far.

 1. Peach Sake Pore Essence Mask Sheet

This is for oily skin and to treat Acne-prone skin. I'm using this mask once or twice a week depending on my skin condition. This is a MUST purchase for me. What I like about this mask sheet? OMG, not only it reduce oily skin but it helps to reduce pimple and stop pimple from becoming worst. How can i tell it's good? Well, a week ago it was a super busy week that i didn't follow my skincare regime well and not to mention, my skin started to break out and there was lots of small zits on my forehead, chin and jaw line. So, i put on this mask at night and leave it on my face for 30 minutes (i know it's exceeding the time limits but it smells so niiiiiccceee just like peach and it's such a waste to throw it away when it's still 'wet' with all the essence). The next morning, i can see the zits disappear and heal and my skins was so smooth and not that oily anymore. It also make make-up application looks natural and 'absorb' to the skin well.

I don't remember how much it is precisely but i think it's around RM11-12. It's a bit expensive because it's an essence and each mask session equals to one bottle of essence, as what they have claimed..

2. Snow Tea Mask Sheet

This is for whitening effect, reducing spot and make skin supple and smooth. At first I thought I doesn't need it since my skin is already fair enough. But then, my friend persuaded me to give this is a try and she keep on complimenting everything about this mask. So..i gave it a try. 

This is my first mask trial from Skinfood. My 2cents, i don't see my skin gettting fairer but it's make dull skin appears brighter and refresh. And yes, i couldn't stop touching my face after using the mask. It really makes my skin smooth and supple. I like how it felt on skin the next morning after i wake up, it's awesome!
Not only that, it last for few days and make make-up application easier and looks natural on face. I was so surprised putting make up become effortless that i don't need thick foundation but instead i use BB creams and it stays on well.

I've bought this mask sheet for my friend and she's also loving it and we have the same thought on this mask.So, that's mean that this mask is well-deserved for a round of applause for its quality..Yayyy!!;))

This mask costs RM8.90..;)

3.  Shea Butter Foot Mask

Ok, even a foot also have a mask. I was skeptical about this mask at first because i doubt how it is used on foot. So, the seller told me that it's looks like a sock and you can walk and do house chores while using this mask. At the time, i was having a very bad cracked heel due to standing for long hours and walking here and there all the times and i never bother about my heels until i noticed few cracked lines already show up. I was panicked and i don't want to have grandma heels and that dirty look cracked heels so i used pumice stone, apply cream and do whatever i can to reduce and make it disappears. The result was not that satisfying and last temporarily then it comes back again.

So, that is when i decided i give this mask a shot. Yes, it looks like a sock and u wear it like one. I leave it on my foot for about 30 minutes or until it becomes dry that all the liquid absorbed well. 

the result, well..tada, AMAZING!! No more cracked heels but smooth and baby soft foot. It lasts for a week and yes, i was so happy that i don't feel embarrass about my foot anymore. I used this once a month to treat my foot.

The mask costs RM13.90.

I'm am so happy that i can get Stereo Rose and it is mine, the color is very pretty and i love it on cheeks..and By Candlelight is so nice as a highlighter although there is a slight pink hue. However,the shimmer can be so intimidating sometimes, so i prefer to use both lightly using duo fibre brush/skunk brush.

but honestly, Stereo Rose is one worth buying from the collection. and seeing it on make my hand is just surreal~

 MSF in Medium is as a restock and powder blush 'Melba' - i was torn apart between Peaches and Melba. It's quite hard purchasing something that u can't test the color first. I want to try Melba since it is matte and warm peaches color.

:: Drugstore Haul ::

Just a mini haul, Revlon New Complexion One Step Compact Makeup, Maybelline Stylish Smokes Quad and Neutrogena Anti Residue Shampoo.

 :: MAYBELLINE STYLISH SMOKES QUAD::

 :: Amethyst Smokes and Natural Smokes::

  I found out about this special edition quad from here and here. I heard few reviews saying that this quad is amazing and good. I was tempted and immediately try out. FYI, this quad is not available here in Malaysia. I though i want to wait till it releases here but it's been way too long already (mind u, i was agitated)..thus, i decided to get it from drugstore.com. There are four types of quad for this edition which are Natural Smokes, Charcoal Smokes, Amethyst Smokes and Emerald Smokes and the latest, two new quads which are Sapphire Smokes and Plum Smokes ( which still not available at drugstore.com)

I like this quad because it sounds smokey and it's tempting! the colors offered are good and beautiful. however, it is not that pigmented and it fades easily especially if u have an oily eyelid like mine, so good base or primer is a way to enhance the color and make it lasts a bit longer. Also, the textures can be chalky especially the brow bone (the white one) but some of the reviews said that not all quad is chalky, its depending on the quad you are getting. Unfortunately,for both quad the white one is the one that chalky..what a coincidence~ The rest are fine;)
Regarding the price wise, i got both during BOGO and it's quite cheap, 2 for RM46.61 and price for one quad is RM28.74..quite a bargain huh~~?? hehe

REVLON NEW COMPLEXION ONE STEP MAKEUP COMPACT

It's a creme to powder formula. I have not try this one yet but i can't wait to. I remember there was one review lemming on this because it acts as a concealer, foundation and powder..it's medium-heavy coverage but yet feel lightweight on face. Emmm..can't say much yet since i have not try this one out. i'll be reviewing about this again soon and see how it is.

:: NEUTROGENA ANTI RESIDUE SHAMPOO::

This is once was my HG for deep cleansing shampoo which i used once a week, after swimming at a pool or heavy hairdo. This shampoo never failed me and I always have this product with me. But after it was 'discontinued' (since i cannot found it anymore;( ) here in our local favorite drugstore, Watson and Guardian...i turned to Redken Deep Cleasing shampoo (which is also my HG!). 

Why it is my HG?? After using It, my hair feels light and not greasy, less oily. And it makes my daily shampoo and hair products work better! It smells nice and clean..I still remember my friend complimented my hair,like i say, it makes my daily shampoo and hair products work better. I normally used this once a week and follow by hair mask to allow the hair gets all the nourishment it needed. It just like scrubbing your face to clean the residue and mask to make sure the nutrients are absorbed well. Well, this is my secret!


Since I ran out of  Redken Deep Cleasing shampoo, I've bought a few deep cleansing shampoo but not as good as Neutrogena or Redken. I can only purchase Redken from local online stores or go to KL (mind u, i'm from Borneo..hardly to get Redken products here;/) So, where did i find it? at drugstore.com.i have to purchase it online and i'd glad i manage to found it again and i was surprised that it's bigger than i have bought before..perhaps the volume? but nevermind..I'm happy i found this again;)) it just like a long lost found love~

:: MAC TO THE BEACH Part 1 ::

I'm glad this collection is made because i am a beach-lover!!The casing and the sea creatures imprinted on the casing is hard to resist especially u are so into beaches,seashells and seahorse! so, when i knew this collection is going to be released on early June here in Malaysia, i immediately list down all the things that i want..

at first i thought i was gonna do a massive haul on this collection but then when it came to my senses, i thought it was a bit ..'meh'..hehe (plus, im outta budget because i just went for my vacation:P and did a lot of shopping there..*sigh*)so, i get my had on a few things that i won't regret purchasing...

so, i get:::
1. MAC Powder Blush  - Hipness (re-promoted from Fafi Collection)
2. MAC Highlight Powder - Marine Life (this is gorgeous!!)
3. MAC Lipstick  - Lazy Day (lustre- light blue pink shade)
4. MAC Tinted Lipglass - Splashing (this is super pigmented and give a nice shade wear alone and even better when pair up with Lazy Day l/s) 
5. and also MAC Fluidline Blacktrack (of course not from the collection but i want to try this one since my Wet n Wild creamliner is already dried up)
